Macbeth w Orson Welles 2/3

Shot in 23 days for Republic Pictures on standing "B" Western sets. Welles pre-recorded his actors speaking the dialogue in thick Scottish accents which proved difficult for the preview audiences so the studio had him re-dub it in "plain" English and then cut twenty minutes from the film. It bombed on release and Welles spent the next ten years working in Europe.
