The Rebels. Dame Elizabeth Taylor knew and loved these men. She knew that they possessed great talent and stood out in the crowds. She worked professionally with these men and personally, she was a trusted friend. One such rebel, Rock Hudson, lived and died with AIDS about the same time Elizabeth was involving her fund raising services herself. Between Bill and Melinda Gates, Sir Elton John and Dame Elizabeth, over one billion dollars has been raised to fight this disease that is still killing thousands of people.
